Thank you for this! I've had Hex for quite some time now, and haven't been able to do much with it. I always seem to end up going back to Wings for my modelling. I appreciate you taking the time and the effort to put these tutorials together. :D They're very well written, and clearly explained, and easy to follow. Thanks again!

FINALLY! I got somewhere with this! The documentation for Hexagon 2.5 is TERRIBLE!

THANK YOU!  You're a peach! You've been a big help so far. Do you have any other tutorials on this, and if so, where?

I have bookmarked this so I can come back if I need to.

Thanks again. I'm finally getting somewhere after hours of pouring over the pdf tutorials. These SUCK!

Thank you, Kethaera. I'm accustomed to Poser and 3ds, both of which are somewhat cumbersome for many applications. I got Hex as a free download when Daz offered it, but have had one heck of a hard time figuring it out. Your tute is very simple and very clear, and I was very glad to find it.

I think your tutorials on Hexagon 2.5 are really cool and easy to understand Kethaera. I think the application looks amazing, but I am currently having trouble importing the genesis figure from Daz3d into Hexagon, so I can create my own clothing, using the base figure to work around. Each time I try to import the model, and then click on something, I find the application closes on me.

Could you possibly talk me through the steps of how you would import a model from daz3d, and at what scale you would import it into Hexagon 2.5. I can only find tutorials on the internet, which are about importing from poser instead. Any advice would be much appreciated.

Wishing you an awesome Weekend!

Kind Regards Paul

Pretty sure you can model cloth in daz itself. It has the creation tool built into it. Hexagon is more for modeling for other 3d models, animals, buildings, ect.

I recently downloaded the free version of Hexagon 2.5 and have been searching the web for instructions on this software. Above, Kethaera, you suggest downloading this tutorial but I am unable to find a way to do so. Please include instructions for downloading this tutorial. If there are any others who can tell me what to do, I will welcome the information.

I recently heard about Hexagon. Do you think it's a good modeling program? I'd never heard of it before, so I wasn't sure. I downloaded it and am now trying it out (with your tutorials). I'd be curious about anyone's opinion of this program, and also compared to some of the others. Thanks =)

Thank you very much indeed for this tutorial. Being a bit of a Photoshop pro but a complete tyro in 3D, I really appreciate your clear, step-by-step explanations.

Can we look forward to some more, perhaps? Please? Pretty please?

I second mullman2's praise. I've been trying to find a basic intro tutorial to Hexagon ever since I took advantage of Daz's very generous freebie offer and this is just what I've been looking for. Great work, thanks.

Thank you for this tut. Just got Hexagon and have not been able to find much supporting documentation, without which, this generous freebie from Daz is almost useless. This is also very user friendly. I have read a lot of training material and too often the writer loses you as the steps go by because the processes are second nature to them. Very well done and much so needed.

I have to agree, with DAZ giving away Daz 3d, Hexgon, and Bryce for free, I think this suits it well!
